Charity in Christianity is not just almsgiving and should not be seen only as an obligation or duty. Charity is love. We believe that God’s love and generosity towards humanity, move and inspire us to love and be generous. Jesus taught that to love God and to love one’s neighbors are the greatest commandments and so for us at Calvary Pentecostal Church, charity is not an optional extra, but an essential component of our faith. Our plan is to support the poor and the disadvantaged and do what we can to alleviate their poverty and demonstrate God’s love to them through our giving.
